The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set November 22, 2017, as the date it would commence sale of Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms for candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions in 2018 academic session.
According to Jamb Registrar (Prof. Ishaq Oloyede), they have now perfected all reform process to ease the examination henceforth. The sale of the application documents would commence on 22nd November, 2017 and end on 22nd January, 2018 lasting two months. The application fee remains five thousand five hundred Naira (N5,500), just as the reading text is still five hundred Naira. The application fee is includes the commission of three hundred naira (N300) paid on each application to the selling points. The Registrar also announced that the 2018 UTME exercise will hold between 9th and 17th March, 2018.

Registration fees for Foreign Based Candidates has been reduced from $120 to $20. Electronic jammers would also be introduced at all Computer Based Test Centres to forestall any malpractices and ensure integrity of the examination.
