It is now established that UTME 2017 registration would end April 20 and Exam proper will start on May 6. Beyond this, Jamb Candidates should no longer worry over how Aggregates Scores would be calculated this year. This is because unlike before where aggregate scores are calculated from the combination of UTME and Post-UTME scores as published earlier here; things are no longer the same since Post-UTME was scrapped by the Ministry of Education last year in all higher institutions.

UTME 2017 Aggregate scores would now be calculated using a combination of student’s UTME Scores & O’level. The combination ratio is now 40:60. That is, O’level subjects combination would be 40% marks while Jamb’s UTME Scores would make up the huge 60%. As a concerned person you should know where your priority lies. This is because none of 40 or 60% or even 1% of the whole can be wished away. You can get get full calculation details and steps with example by CLICKING HERE or download the release from Jamb HERE.
We therefore advice Candidates to focus on their UTME Scores more while those still writing SSSCE or WASSCE should work hard to earn A’s and B’s to increase their point(s).
